COACH D’AVERSA AFTER PALERMO-PARMA: “WE WOULD HAVE DESERVED A VICTORY”

Coach D’Aversa has spoken with journalists in the end of Palermo-Parma.

“About my team, despite in the first half we conceded a goal we stayed focused on the game as well: if we look at the chances and at the way we played, the final result is not fair. I think we could have deserved the victory. It’s not easy to try to score a goal in matches like this”.

“We’ve faced Palermo, they missed some players but we missed some as well. I did not complain about our lacks and we didn’t face an opponent with inexperienced players: on the pitch there were Coronado, Morganella, Serie A players. During the first half we made a mistake on their goal, but I think that we must say thanks to my players for the game they did and for the chances they created: I prefer to underline the positive aspects and not the negative ones”.

“When we set up for the game we handle everything, penalties and throw-ins as well: we had a chance to score on a throw-in, and if we didn’t score in a play situation it was because of their goalkeeper who stopped Calaiò twice in the first half”.
