CALAIO’: “SERIE B IS MORE BALANCED THEN THE PAST. NOW WE’RE FOCUSED ON OUR NEXT GAME”

Collecchio, 15th November 2017 – After the last training session, the Crociati forward Emanuele Calaiò has met journalists for a brief press meeting.

“During the first games we were a bit “stopped”, now we’re starting to know each other, some new players are arrived here. Now we’re improving our way of playing, we need time. Insigne is a good player who runs very much during the game, he likes to play close to me, so he can help when we attack”.

“I run very much despite my age because during my career I’ve ever cared about my body, my health, my nutrition. After you’re 30 you cane face some physical problem, so when you’re young you must think about the future by caring about health. We’ve also a coach who wants us to run and play so much, but I’ve ever made sacrifice on the pitch, If I don’t score any goal I play for the team”.

“Many years ago Serie B was a very hard championship. When I reached the promotion with Napoli there were many good clubs as Juventus, Genoa and Piacenza: after ten games you could see the difference between them and the other teams. Now things are different: less money, more young players, so the championship is more balanced. Palermo, Empoli and Bari are very good clubs but you can’t see the difference so far. Now we’ve to think about the next game, we cannot underestimate Ascoli. They’re a strong team despite they’re in the last position of the Serie B table”.
